Which feed should I launch first?

Not sure what feed to create first? Answer one question to pick the right first feed and get pointed to the next step.

You've already created more than your audience has actually consumed: the course they bought and didn't finish, the workshop they registered for and missed, the replay they never opened. A private podcast feed is how you win that attention back, by putting what you already made into the one place people actually press play.

The only hard part is deciding which of it to launch first, and that's where people stall for months. This guide settles it in about two minutes, then points you straight at the next step.

What You'll Accomplish

By the end of this guide, you'll have:

✅ Picked the right first feed for where your business is right now

✅ Known exactly which step to take next

✅ Skipped the "what should I even make?" stall that holds most people back

Ask yourself: what do you want this feed to do?

"Deliver content to people who already signed up, bought, joined, or hired me"

This is your fastest win, and where most people should start. The content already exists and the audience already exists, so there's nothing to create and no one to find. You're moving what you've already delivered into your audience's ears.

Look at what's already on your computer that people have paid for or accessed:

  • A course or program. Turn every module's video into a private podcast feed so members can finally finish it on a walk instead of staring at a screen. Same content, far higher completion.

  • Coaching or client calls. The Zoom replays you already send as links become a private feed your clients actually listen to.

  • A workshop or masterclass you ran. Even a free one from last month. Drop it into a feed and follow up with the people who registered: "Hey, I wasn't sure you got to watch this, here it is to listen to anytime."

  • Recorded trainings, mini courses, summit talks. All sitting in a folder, already made, never re-used.

The test is simple: if you've already recorded it and people have already received it, it can be a feed today. (Even a PDF works, though that one asks you to sit down and record a walkthrough first, so save it for after your first easy win.)

Your next step: jump to How do I get started with Hello Audio? It's the fast path, with the choices already made for you: Instant feed, your existing content, individual links for the people who already paid.

"Attract new leads"

A short audio series people opt in to and binge, a free feed that grows your list. This one asks a little more of you, because it needs content worth opting in for and new people to find it.

Your next step: start with Launch Your Audio Lead Magnet, our binge-able freebie that shows you the play and hands you the build.

"Sell a new paid audio product"

A paid audio program you sell in its own right. This is the biggest lift of the three, because it needs an offer, a price, and a sale, so it's usually not a creator's first feed.

Your next step: grab Audio Course Accelerator.

Still Not Sure?

Default to the first. If you have content you've already delivered in some way (free or paid), that's a fulfillment feed, and it's the fastest path to a live feed today. You can always build the other two later.

Episode 5 of Hello Audio 101 walks through what a private podcast can do for your business, which is the same question this guide asks. Good background listening if you're weighing your options.

What Happens Next

Once your first feed is live, the next ones get dramatically easier, because you've felt how fast it goes and you understand what your listeners experience. In fact, many of our users have too many feeds they want to create! If you'd love to get ideas, check out 101 Ways to Use Private Podcasts in your Business.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if more than one of these fits me?

Pick the one you can launch today. If you already have people who opted in for something or who have purchased something from you, that's what we call a fulfillment feed. Start there. The others make excellent second and third feeds once your first one is live.

What if I don't have any content yet?

Start with the lead magnet path. You can record one short thing or repurpose something you've already said elsewhere. A first feed can be a single episode.

Can I have more than one feed?

Yes, and most creators end up with several, one for buyers, one for leads, one for a paid product. Choosing a first feed isn't choosing your only feed. It's choosing where to start.

I picked my path but I'm stuck on the actual setup

The full step-by-step lives in How do I get started with Hello Audio? It covers creating the feed, uploading content, adding listeners, and testing. If you're still stuck after that, we're here.
