Stripe Connect Troubleshooting

Stripe often requires you to agree to additional terms after initially setting up your account. If you're receiving "Payment did not go through" even with valid payment methods, or an error when saving a pricing option, you may need to visit https://dashboard.stripe.com/account/status

This link will show any tasks required to be completed by you. It may show that your Stripe account is restricted until completing these tasks. The image below is the Stripe dashboard for completing tasks.

Once completed, you should be able to set prices and collect payment as expected.

Stripe provides this help doc for an overview of their requirements.

On that page, select the following:

  • Platform Country: United States (that's for us at Hello Audio in the United States)

  • Account Country: Your location

  • Dashboard Type: Full

  • Service Agreement: Full

  • Business Type: Select individual, company, or non-profit. If company, choose your structure, e.g. single-member LLC.

  • Capability: Card payments

This page shows a list of required information that Stripe needs to process your payments based on your location and business type.
