Zapier can be used to manage listeners and episodes in your Hello Audio account. For a quick guide to get started with connecting Hello Audio in Zapier and simply adding a listener, follow these instructions.
Zapier Triggers
Triggers are what start a Zapier automation. Events in Hello Audio can be used to pass information to other tools. Zapier triggers are reserved for Powerhouse users.
Listener Subscribes to a Feed
Select a feed and start a Zap when a listener subscribes to that feed.
Example: A student buys your course in Teachable. When they tap “Subscribe” on the companion private podcast, the Zap fires, tags them as “Audio Student” in ConvertKit, and drops them into a course-welcome email sequence.
Listener Downloads Specific Episode
Choose an episode of a feed and start a Zap when a listener downloads that episode.
Example: When a listener downloads your welcome episode, add them to a special onboarding sequence in your email platform that provides additional resources mentioned in that episode.
Listener Reaches Super Listener Score
Start a Zap when a listener hits a certain Super Listener Score
Example: As soon as a listener’s Super Listener Score hits 80, the Zap adds them to an “Engaged Fans” segment in ActiveCampaign and emails a 20 % discount code for your advanced mastermind.
Listener Reaches a Number of Downloads
Start a Zap when a listener's download count reaches a certain value.
Example: Once a listener hits 25 total downloads, the Zap sends them a Typeform survey link to gather feedback and a request for a testimonial you can showcase on your sales page.
New Listener
Wait for listeners to be added to a feed in any way possible, then start the Zap.
Example: Using the Hello Audio Signup Page to add listeners to your private feed, but your email system isn't a supported integration yet. Add them to your email list when they signup for the feed.
Zapier Actions
Actions are what follows a trigger in a Zapier automation. They are things that Zapier does rather than something happening outside Zapier. There can be many Actions in a single Zap.
Add Listener
A listener is added to one of your private podcast feeds.
Example: Someone purchase your course in Teachable, give them access to the podcast version of the content by adding them to your feed.
Edit Listener
Change the listener's status in a feed, or their start date.
Example: Block a listener from your podcast content after they leave your membership program.
Change Listener Metadata
Resend Invitation Email
Send the email a listener receives when first signing up for a feed.
Example: A listener lost their original email and fills out a form to have it resent.
Add Episode (Beta)
Add content to a feed automatically. This is a beta feature. Alert us to any issues by writing to [email protected].
Example: On publication of a new YouTube video in your channel, add an audio version to a feed and set it to publish at a future date.
