How to fix Apple Podcasts error "Unable to Follow"
Apple Podcasts may show the following error when trying to subscribe to a podcast:
Unable to Follow: Podcast cannot be added because the server or feed cannot be found.
As a Hello Audio user, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Change the feed's status from Archived to Available.
- Find the feed at https://app.helloaudio.fm/my-feeds and flip the switch under "Status" to "Available".
- Ensure the listener is in the feed and not blocked from accessing the content.
- Click on the feed and then "Listeners". Search for their email address and ensure their status is "Enabled".
- Have at least one episode published in the feed.
- Inside the feed, in the "Episodes" area, ensure there is at least one episode with a "Published" status.
- Check that the tag restrictions for the episodes match the listener tags. To fix:
- Add a tag to the listener receiving the error OR
- Remove the tag requirements from the episode.
Try subscribing again after taking the above steps.
