Setting up your first private podcast can feel like a lot, especially when you're not sure what to ask or where to start. The Getting Started Call is a free, weekly small-group Zoom session where Derek (our Head of Product) walks you through creating your first feed, answers your specific questions, and helps you get unstuck. Whether you're brand-new, exploring a trial, or stuck on a particular step, you're welcome to attend.
What You'll Accomplish
By the end of this guide, you'll have:
β Signed up for the next Hello Audio Getting Started Call
β Known what to expect when you join (Zoom, 30 minutes, small group)
β Prepared questions or files so you get real help on your account
β Joined the call and walked away with a clear path forward
This takes about 2 minutes to read and 30 seconds to RSVP.
What is the Getting Started Call?
The Getting Started Call is a free, weekly live session hosted by Derek Padilla, our Head of Product. It's designed to take you from curious to confident with your first private podcast.
In 30 minutes, you'll:
See exactly how to create and launch your first feed
Get answers to your specific questions
Walk away ready to share your podcast with real listeners
Attendance is capped so the session stays interactive. You'll actually get to ask questions and have them answered, not watch a one-way webinar.
When it happens
Every Tuesday, 1:00 to 1:30 PM PT.
How to sign up
Head to the Getting Started Call event page.
Choose the day and time you want to attend.
Click One-Click RSVP.
Check you email for the confirmation with the Zoom link and a calendar invite for the session.
How to prepare (so you get real help)
The most useful Getting Started Calls happen when attendees show up ready to work on their actual account. A few things to do ahead of time:
Tinker. Poke around your Hello Audio account, try setting things up, see where you get stuck. We celebrate tinkering ahead of time because that's where the best questions come from.
Bring questions. Whatever you're unsure about is exactly what to ask.
Have your files ready. If you want help with a specific audio file, your artwork, or a feed setup, have those at hand so we can look at them together.
What to expect on the call
30 minutes on Zoom
Small group (capped for interactivity)
Derek walks through creating a feed and then opens it up for Q&A
You can be on camera or off, whichever you prefer
Bring your specific situation. This isn't a pre-recorded webinar, it's actual help.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
I didn't get the Zoom link after RSVPing
Check your spam folder first. If it's not there, look at the calendar invite you should have received. The Zoom link is included there. Still nothing? Send us a quick email at [email protected] and we'll get it to you.
Zoom isn't loading or my camera/mic isn't working
Zoom has a help center. It's best to type in exactly what you're experiencing at the top to find the article. Most fixes are quick (refresh, check permissions, restart the app).
I missed the call
No problem. The next one is the following Tuesday at the same time. RSVP here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a paid account to attend?
No. The Getting Started Call is free and open to anyone exploring Hello Audio, including trial users and people who haven't signed up yet.
Is the call recorded?
The Getting Started Call isn't recorded because the value is in the live, personalized Q&A. If you can't make it, RSVP for the following week. For other live sessions we host (like our weekly Coaching Calls), we do share replays.
Can I attend more than once?
Yes. People often come more than once, especially if they're stuck on different things at different stages. You're welcome anytime.
Do I need to be on camera or use my mic?
Not required. You can keep your camera off and ask questions in the chat if that's more comfortable. If you want to be on camera and walk through your screen with Derek, that's welcome too.
What's the difference between this and the Coaching Calls?
The Getting Started Call is for new and trial users learning the basics. Our weekly Coaching Calls (held in Riverside) are for existing members who want deeper strategy, advanced tips, and topic-driven sessions.
