Your new Stats page shows how your feeds are doing at a glance: subscriber growth, invited vs. subscribed, and how each episode is performing. A good chart usually leads to a follow-up question, though (“who’s gone quiet?”, “who are my most engaged listeners?”), and that’s where Claude comes in.
The Hello Audio connector for Claude (built on MCP, the Model Context Protocol that Claude uses to connect to other apps) lets you ask those questions in plain language and get answers pulled from your own feeds, right in the Claude chat you already have open.
What You'll Accomplish
By the end of this guide, you'll have:
✅ Connected your Hello Audio account to Claude
✅ Asked Claude your first question about your feeds and listeners
✅ Understood what the connector can see and what it can't change
This takes about 2 minutes, and then your listener data is one question away.
How the Connector Works
The connector gives Claude read-only access to the feeds on your Hello Audio account. It works on every Claude plan, including free, and on any active Hello Audio plan, including trials. When you ask a question, Claude looks up the numbers it needs (downloads, listeners, retention, and more) and answers in the chat.
It can't change anything. Claude can't upload or edit episodes, add or remove listeners, or change feed settings through the connector. You'll still do all of that in Hello Audio. It also can't see revenue or sales, since that data lives in Stripe (more on that in the FAQ below).
Step 1: Find Hello Audio in Claude's Connector Directory
You can connect from Claude on the web (claude.ai) or the Claude desktop app. Once it's connected, it's available in both.
In Claude, open Settings and go to Connectors
Click Browse connectors
Search for Hello Audio
Click Connect
You can also go straight to the Hello Audio listing in Claude's directory.
Step 2: Sign In to Hello Audio and Allow Access
After you click Connect, a Hello Audio sign-in window opens.
Sign in with the same email and password you use for Hello Audio
Review the access request and click Accept
You'll land back in Claude with Hello Audio listed under your connectors
Claude only sees the feeds on the account you sign in with. If you manage more than one Hello Audio account, sign in with the one whose data you want to ask about.
Step 3: Ask Your First Question
Start a new chat and make sure Hello Audio is turned on in the chat's tools menu (the + or tools icon under the message box). Or just ask a general question about your podcasts and it will find Hello Audio as the right tool.
A good first question is "What podcasts do I have in Hello Audio?" Claude will list your feeds, and from there you can refer to any feed by name.
Questions you can ask
Feed health at a glance
"Give me a summary of my Daily Mindset feed."
"How have downloads on my Daily Mindset feed trended week by week since January?"
Episodes
"Which episodes on my course feed have the highest downloads?"
"Compare episodes 3, 4, and 5 side by side."
"Which of my feeds have unpublished episodes?"
Listeners
"Who's downloaded something in the last 14 days?"
"Who are my 25 most engaged listeners?"
"Show me everyone who has stopped listening to my coaching feed last month."
Growth and retention
"Walk me through the subscription funnel for my membership feed: invited, activated, first download, repeat listener."
"How well did the people who joined in March stick around compared to the people who joined in June?"
"Which tags perform best on my course feed?"
Claude can also use the answers in whatever you're working on next, like drafting a check-in email to listeners who've gone quiet or picking which episode to feature in your newsletter.
Use it with your other tools
Hello Audio doesn't have to work alone. In the same chat, Claude can combine your listener data with the other apps you've connected to Claude (like your email platform, Google Calendar, Drive, Slack, or Stripe) and with its own built-in tools, so an answer can turn straight into your next step:
Re-engage quiet listeners: "Find listeners on my coaching feed who haven't downloaded anything in 30 days, then draft a friendly check-in email for them."
Plan your newsletter: "Which episode got the most downloads this month? Write a short newsletter blurb featuring it."
Prep for a client call: "Check my Google Calendar for tomorrow's calls, then tell me what each of those people has listened to lately."
Connect listening to revenue: "Which of my Stripe customers haven't listened to the onboarding feed yet?"
Share a report with your team: "Summarize last quarter's downloads and retention in one page and save it to Google Drive," or "Post this week's highlights to our team Slack channel."
See it visually: "Chart weekly downloads for my course feed since launch."
Each app needs its own connection in Claude, and Claude only uses the ones you've turned on for that chat.
What Happens Next
Hello Audio stays connected until you remove it. Some ways creators use it:
A quick read on engagement before a coaching call, launch, or renewal push
A monthly recap of downloads and retention without exporting a spreadsheet
Spotting listeners who've stopped downloading so you can reach out before they cancel
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Claude change anything in my Hello Audio account?
No. The connector is read-only. Claude can look up feeds, episodes, listeners, and stats, but it can't upload, edit, publish, delete, or change settings. If you ask it to, it'll tell you it can't.
Which Hello Audio plans include the Claude connector?
Every active Hello Audio plan, including free trials. If your subscription is canceled, the connector stops returning your data until you restart a plan.
Do I need a paid Claude plan?
No. The Hello Audio connector works on every Claude plan, including the free plan.
Can I use the Hello Audio MCP in Claude Code or ChatGPT?
Yes. Setup works a little differently there, so it has its own guide. This guide covers Claude on the web and the desktop app.
Why does Claude say it can't find my feed?
Ask "What podcasts do I have in Hello Audio?" first so Claude can see the exact feed names, then refer to the feed the way it appears in that list. If the feed still doesn't show up, check that you signed in to the Hello Audio account that owns it.
Why isn't Claude using my Hello Audio data?
Make sure Hello Audio is turned on in that chat's tools menu. Connectors can be switched on and off per chat, so a new chat may need it turned on again. Naming Hello Audio in your question ("in Hello Audio, which episodes...") also helps Claude reach for it.
Why did the connection fail when I signed in?
Try signing in to app.helloaudio.fm in the same browser to confirm your login works, then go back to Settings → Connectors in Claude, remove Hello Audio, and connect it again. If the sign-in works but the connection still fails, the email you used may not have a Hello Audio account, so sign in with the email you use for Hello Audio.
How do I disconnect Hello Audio from Claude?
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, find Hello Audio, and choose Disconnect (or Remove). Claude loses access right away, and you can reconnect anytime.
Spend less time digging through stats and more time on the content your listeners press play on. Questions about the connector? Message us in the chat or email [email protected].
